Campfire, Crickets and Waves

On a quiet summer day, I decided to go and spend the night at place I very well know in the South of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast. I wasn’t planning on any particular shoot, but I had all my equipment with me for just in case. Having chosen my camping spot and hung my hammock, I had the idea of making a campfire and filming it. It was the peak of Bulgarian summer and the grass was already quite dry, so I was very careful to make sure that the fire stays within the stone circle that I created. You can watch my campfire video here: https://youtu.be/9lh_becOt4Y

It was a very peaceful evening and the crickets were singing their slow summer song. After having successfully recorded the video and put out the fire, I rested on the nearby rock, taking some posy pictures of myself and looking at the rising of the magnificent full moon and the distant lights of the nearby town. It was quiet and peaceful where I was. I tried filming the moon and it’s reflection in the sea, but when I got back home, I realised that my camera wasn’t able to record in such low light with good quality.

Later in the night I recorded the beautiful and perfectly soothing sounds of the gently lapping waves and the constant mellow chirping of the crickets were. I made a long video for a peaceful sleep. You can play it here: https://youtu.be/Ukugbb0Y72M
