Bluebell Woods

This year I happened to be in England exactly at the right time for the blooming bluebells. I have long had the idea to film this incredible natural beauty. I was incredibly happy and lucky to see them densely covering the forest floor all around the nearby forest in Hertfodshire. I spent a few days getting up early in the morning before sunrise, driving to the place and walking around the woods for almost the whole day, filming different scenes, breathing the faint fragrance of these delicate flowers and recording the spring songs of the birds there. After a few days of carrying the heavy photographic rucksack all day, my back started to hurt and I had to stop and give it a rest. Fortunately, I have already collected a big variety of footage in order to make a three hour long video, with no repeating scenes in it. I was extremely happy with my success and this is still one of my most favourite videos, that I sometimes play at home to create a relaxing atmosphere when I need it. Forest Stream

On one of my solo trips to my favourite place in the Central Balkan National Park, I filmed a crystal clear mountain stream, where I always stop to rest, to enjoy the fresh air, the sounds and view. On hot summer days, I sometimes have a quick dip the cold waters. It is quite unpleasant initially, but if you take it slowly in the end it feels so cleansing and energising. The video of this majestic place can be found here: https://youtu.be/1t7g690boao

On this same trip whilst camping in the foothills of the mountain I managed to record the early morning song of the birds in the forest. You can play this video and listen to their songs here: https://youtu.be/XxP8kxUn5bc

Snowy River

After a day of heavy snowing, I decided to go to my favourite nearby Strandja Natural Park and try to film the beauty of the freshly fallen snow. As I didn’t want to drive on the slippery roads, I took the bus, that surprisingly was still running. I got off near this little river and spent most of the day walking along it in knee-deep snow, filming different scenes. I didn’t have snowshoes at the time and at end of the short winter day, I caught the bus back quite tired, but happy that I managed to film this fleeting beauty. Spring Forest

One day I saw an amazing picture, posted by a friend of mine, of a forest floor completely covered in blossoming wild yellow flowers. I thought to myself, that I want to make a video of this place. I immediately wrote to my friend, asking where the place was. She pointed me to a place in the North part of Bulgaria and I quickly prepared myself and left to go there, before it was too late to see this view. When I got to the place, I was very happy to discover the area exactly the way I imagined it. The flowers were still there, densely covering the ground beneath the trees. I filmed a lot of different scenes in the area and recorded the song of the birds inhabiting it, which, as it was the middle of spring, were all quite actively singing.
